With the Chinese Spring Festival just around the corner, School of International Education held a New Year party for the international students at the Teachers Dining Hall on the morning of January 26, bidding farewell to the Year of Rabbit and ushering in the New Year of Loong. Chen Xiu, HFU Vice President, attended the activity.

Students from Cambodia, Laos, Nepal and Russia, made Jiaozi (dumplings), wrote blessing character Fu in calligraphy and made paper-cutting together with teachers to deliver New Year wishes, which turned the dining hall into a place full of great joy.

On behalf of the University Council, Chen Xiu extended her greetings to the international students, wishing everyone a memorable Spring Festival and a meaningful winter vacation on campus. Then Chen Xiu together with some of the staff distributed New Year gifts to international students to extend their best wishes for the Year of Loong to come. Afterwards, a rich buffet was offered to these international students. They tasted traditional Chinese food together with the teachers.

For the international students, this party was to ease their homesickness and make them feel the warmth of home and the festive atmosphere of Chinese Spring Festival, which will help them know China better.
